          WHY VISIT TURTLE LAKE?

  • It is an ideal place to see rare & wild green sea turtles, mangroves & birds of the Bahamas. We limit use of the lake to only 10 individuals at a time, to ensure the marine life is protected, and you can have a high quality nature experience.

 

  • It is completely sheltered from ocean swells & waves, making it an ideal spot to paddle board & kayak for novices & experts alike. 

 

  • It is conveniently located 2.5 miles from the main town on Eleuthera -- Governors Harbour, right on Queens Highway, making it an easy place to visit by anyone on Eleuthera (including Harbour Island).
